Interrupted aortic arch with thymic hypoplasia: DiGeorge syndrome

This is a case of interrupted aortic arch, part of the DiGeorge syndrome. Note the ascending aorta with the brachiocephalic vessels (type A) with interruption between the subclavian artery and the descending aorta

 

The ascending aorta (with the probe) and the 3 brachiocephalic vessels. The pulmonary artery is seen behind.
